Please save the date! June 15th 2025 the sponsoring event is taking place. For those who are new to sports in Switzerland: this is a standard for all sport clubs across the country, provides an alternative way for the organizations to fund their activities.
"We are once again organizing a sponsoring shoot out to promote our junior work. Participation is obligatory for every junior member (2007 and younger)!
Parents are all cordially invited to watch and cheer for the kids.
If your child is unable to take part in this event due to time constraints, the relevant team coach will make up for the sponsoring shoot out with your child during training. (This needs to take place till 13.06. the latest)
Juniors who do not wish to take part in the sponsored run can be exempted for a minimum fee of CHF 50, provided they inform their coach in advance.

How does the shoot-out work and why are we doing it?
The youth development has the highest priority in our club. To be able to compete on top-level, we need to start at an early age working with and for our talented kids. But we also want to make Basketball bigger as a movement in our region and give everybody a platform to perform. For this, we need good and qualified coaches, professional environment, good facilities and material. The membership fees and youth & sports grants are far from sufficient here. Through paper collections, Christmas-salmon-action, camps and the sponsors´ shoot-out, we generate additional funds.
The goal of the shoot-out is, that each junior-member is recruiting (small) sponsors in his surroundings (family, neighbors, friends), who are supporting the player individually. The sponsor himself determines the amount he would like to sponsor for every scored basket.
The player then will be awarded three minutes to score as many lay ups as possible (this can usually be around 20-30 baskets /e.g. 1 CHF per basket = 20-30 CHF in total).
This year we offer prizes for both categories:
• Minis
• Juniors
How do we select the winners?
The 3 club members of each category collecting the highest score of baskets made at the run multiplied by the amount of funded sponsoring money, are rewarded with following presents:
1st place: a weekend trip to an NLA game OR a locker room access during one of Wallabies Damen 1/Herren 1 teams and a pizza evening with your favorite player.
2nd place: 2 tickets for a game of the Swiss national (male/female) basketball team plus pocket money.
3rd place: official Molten basketball
Reward for sponsors:
3 vouchers for a dinner for two at the Erlibacherhof restaurant in Erlenbach will be raffled off among all sponsors!
